Elotox Cosmetic Inj. is a prescription medication injected into the muscles to temporarily reduce the appearance of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.  

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Elotox Cosmetic Inj. is a prescription medication injected into the muscles to temporarily reduce the appearance of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.  

  • Difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing: Weakness in the associated muscles can be severe and life-threatening, especially if you had pre-existing conditions. Swallowing difficulties may persist for several months.
  • Spread of toxin effects: Botulinum toxin may affect areas beyond the injection site, leading to serious symptoms such as loss of strength, widespread muscle weakness, double vision, blurred vision, drooping eyelids, hoarseness or voice changes, difficulty articulating words, loss of bladder control, trouble breathing, and swallowing difficulties.

Elotox Cosmetic dosing units are not equivalent to those of any other botulinum toxin product.

No confirmed serious cases of toxin spread have been reported when used at the recommended doses for treating frown lines, crow’s feet, or forehead lines.

Potential side effects: Loss of strength, general muscle weakness, vision problems, or dizziness may occur within hours to weeks of treatment. If these symptoms arise, avoid driving, operating machinery, or engaging in other hazardous activities.

Allergic reactions: Serious allergic reactions have been reported, including itching, rashes, red welts, wheezing, asthma symptoms, or dizziness. Seek immediate medical help if you experience wheezing, asthma symptoms, or feel faint.

Do not use Elotox Cosmetic if you: Are allergic to any ingredients in Elotox Cosmetic (refer to the Medication Guide for details). Have had an allergic reaction to any botulinum toxin product, such as Myobloc

(rimabotulinumtoxinB), Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA), or Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA). Have a skin infection at the intended injection site.

Inform your doctor about any muscle or nerve conditions, such as ALS, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects like difficulty swallowing or breathing.

Inform your doctor abouta all medical conditions, including plans for surgery, past facial surgeries, issues raising your eyebrows, drooping eyelids, unusual facial changes, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding (it is unknown if Elotox Cosmetic can harm your unborn baby or if it passes into breast milk).

Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking, including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Combining Elotox Cosmetic with certain medications may lead to serious side effects. Do not start any new medications without informing your doctor about your recent Elotox Cosmetic treatment.

Notify your doctor if you have: Received any other botulinum toxin product in the last four months. Recently had injections of botulinum toxin products like Myobloc, Dysport, or Xeomin (please specify which product). Recently received an antibiotic injection or are taking muscle relaxants, allergy or cold medications, sleep aids, or blood thinners.

Other potential side effects of Elotox Cosmetic include dry mouth, discomfort or pain at the injection site, fatigue, headaches, neck pain, and various eye issues such as double vision, blurred vision, decreased eyesight, drooping eyelids and eyebrows, eyelid swelling, and dry eyes.
